Coming Soon?

Updated: May 30, 2020

First blog post :)

Welcome to my first blog post. I never consider myself a writer, therefore I never imagine myself creating a blog. Actually im not telling anyone because im a little shy about it. I primarily use this website for professional use, as I showcase my student work and CV; but I don't know where the idea of writing things I like in a blog came from, but here I am, and if you clicked, therefore here you are too and I really hope you like it.

“Be Afraid and Do It Anyway”

Mostly you'll see me writing about things I like in design. Architecture, fashion, interior, etc. But first, I wanted this blog post be about where my love for architecture came from.

Where did I find it?

The first thing that comes to my mind is my childhood. And if you think I will start talking about legos, NO. You're wrong. I remember when my parents gave me my first Lincoln Logs (does any one remember those? if no, please google them) I literally just google them to explain properly what are Lincoln Logs and found out that they where invented by John Lloyd Wright!!!! (second son of FLW omg, didn't knew that, thanks google, im feeling more architectural myself in this second). Now about the little description if you don't what to google them, they are little pieces of wood logs, different sizes used to build houses, at least mine, that came with a plastic door and two windows and different sizes of roofs.

I was literally obsessed with those. I remember leaving school and arriving home just to play with them, I LOVED THEM! Just thinking about them I want to buy them again, thankfully they are available online. Ok now going a little fast forward in time, when I was a teen, my cousin had bought his first computer and he invited me to his place to see it (as he was very proud of it) and he let me play games with it. He opened this game we all know (or I hope so) The Sims. Again, I was literally obsessed. I played all day and all night, I was playing to win the in-game-money to build bigger houses and buy expensive furniture, I didn't care about playing the lifestyle game itself, I just wanted to build and design. (Fun fact: The creators name is Will Wright, but no, is not the son of FLW *bummer*, but he attended architecture school for a couple of semesters) When finishing high school and choosing what to major in, I struggled in choosing Architecture o Interior Design. I went for Architecture AS I THINK that in the end, they work hand by hand. And im really proud I finished my major and really happy I chose it, since I had the opportunity to make my masters in Interior Design in the city of Renaissance, Firenze la bella.
